Charter boats

Due to the vastly increased cost of shipping boats around the world, OKDIA recognises that for the next few years International events will largely rely on charter boats for sailors from other continents and has developed a platform to allow owners and sailors to register interest and see what is available.

Through this page you can view the charter boats available from owners around the world and offer your own boat (s) for charter at an upcoming event. You can also register an interest in chartering an OK Dinghy.

If you’d like to charter a boat at an upcoming event please complete this form as fully as possible and identify all events you wish to sail. – I’m interested in chartering an OK Dinghy

If you like to offer your own boat for charter please list which events you wish to offer your boat and include any transport options to the venue. – I have an OK Dinghy available for charter

Any financial arrangements and insurance are solely between the owner and charterer, but we would suggest the following structure.

• Championship winner – Up to date with latest development €1000-€1500
• Top half finisher – Good condition and ready to race €500-€1000
• Mid fleet finisher – A good contender under €500

These price bands do not necessarily include extra costs such as insurance and delivery.

This platform will currently take charter boat offers and request up to and including the 2024 Word Championship in Brisbane, Australia.
